Matriculants Urged To Apply For NSFAS Funding

Since the 2024 National Senior Certification (NSC) examinations kick-off, Higher{Education and Training Minister, Dr Nobuhle Pamela Nkabane, has reminded all matriculants to seize the opportunity to submit an application for funding with the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).

"The application window will shut on 15 December 2024, and there are actually not many days left to post applications. Eligible learners are urged to apply promptly to secure monetary help for his or her post-school education," Nkabane said.

Nkabane extended well wishes to all matriculants, who sat for the National Senior Certificate Exams, with learners writing languages, English and Afrikaans Paper three.

Nkabane explained this pivotal moment marks the culmination of a long time of effort and encourages the Class of 2024 to approach their mynsfas examinations how to upload documents on nsfas with dedication and self-confidence.

With Just around 880 000 candidates, including 727 121 full-time and 155,215 part-time candidates from across South Africa sit for this 12 months's matric tests, across South Africa, Basic Education Minister, Siviwe Gwarube, has assured the public with the department's preparedness to administer the exams easily.

Nkabane highlighted a selection of opportunities offered throughout the Post-School Education and Training (PSET) system, which is open to all matriculants in search of further more training and skills development.

The PSET system involves:

• Community Education and Training (CET) colleges: Presenting skills development and general education for students who want to carry on learning.

• Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges: Focusing on practical skills and mynsfas login technical knowledge to equip students for employment and self-employment.

• Higher Education institutions: Universities and higher education providers offering degree and diploma programmes.
